Holistic Health
Holi Livits – YOUR HEALTH GATEWAY
For a happy and fulfilled existence, good health is essential. Several factors influence how healthy we think we are and how healthy we really are. Holistic medicine takes into account not just the physical body, but also the mind and soul of the patient. One component of our body affects the rest of our body whether it is infected or damaged. This is why the holistic treatment works so well and is so vital.
For thousands of years, intelligent civilizations knew this. The ongoing need to find new and better ways to accomplish a task
The desire to cure, relieve, or avoid sickness is a feature of humanity’s quest for knowledge. Why do we need to eat a diet that is both mindful and sustainable? One of the most crucial aspects of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle is our nutrition. Because the growth of our condition of health is influenced by both our surroundings and our environment. It’s critical now more than ever to create awareness among the general public about the importance of leading a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
Vital substances – Vitamins and trace elements
Due to depleted and often polluted soils in the Agriculture and fruits that are often harvested unripe,
genetically engineered modified seeds, UV radiation, long transport routes and Storage times,
these factors can lead to significant nutritional and contribute to the loss of plant matter. A specific mineral
and vitamin content of the plant is responsible for metabolism, structure or the regulation
of the water balance of the plant is indispensable.
Plants that need important nutrients to grow and thrive or
lacking in seed formation, are scarcely able to produce harvestable fruit and
to deliver vegetables. Since more and more quantity is being produced instead of quality
the soils could not recover.
This lack of important nutrients can be specifically compensated
prevent rich dietary supplements.
Water is the source of all life
Drinking properly is the basis for our well-being and health. The optimal fluid balance is not only of enormous importance for our life energy, but also ensures a strong immune system, which protects us from stress and allows us to eliminate unnecessary things. We use an innovative water filter system with a drinking water connection.
As civilization diseases increase, so too does awareness of healthy and living water. More and more people want this precious commodity back. The findings from quantum physics have shown that water can store a great deal of information. Water stores the vibrations and information of everything it comes into contact with.
In our modern world, the ancient knowledge of the fascinating properties of water, such as levitation, penetrates our consciousness bit by bit. The natural scientist Viktor Schauberger discovered this phenomenon as a polar counterpart to gravity. In particular, the way in which we move the water is vital, because water is the basis of all life for the earth and the air and for us humans. Based on Schauberger’s findings, water can now be energized using a variety of methods, turning it from food into a source of benefit for our body.
We have a consumer tip about the ways in which you can treat water in its pure form and free it from harmful substances without leaving any residue: an innovative system (drinking water connection) However, you have the option of treating water and removing harmful substances without leaving any residue . We use an innovative water filter system (with drinking water connection.
Food supplements help with nutrient and vital substance deficiencies
Food supplements and vitamin juices can make an additional important contribution to providing the body with all important nutrients, closing gaps in supply and preventing deficiencies from developing in the context of a daily healthy diet. In this way, they can be a simple, targeted and safe part of a balanced diet that is also low in calories.
Which products can be useful for the individual depends on a variety of factors, in particular on the individual diet, personal lifestyle or the current phase of life.
Consumers in Germany can safely use food supplements in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. The product information on the packaging, in particular the consumption recommendation, enables consumers to use the products in the desired dosage as part of their daily diet. The absorption of nutrients from food and through additionally used food supplements should be based on individual needs.
Helpful hints and pointers that make you feel fantastic all over:
ALKALINE NUTRITION
The goal of an alkaline diet is to achieve a balanced acid-base balance. Alkaline foods prevent acidification because they have a high pH value and are therefore in contrast to acids.
The acid balance is a highly complex process in the human organism that is essential for survival. Various mechanisms are responsible for excreting overdue acids. If these processes get out of balance due to external or endogenous influences, this has an impact on health. The first possible signs of hyperacidity are tiredness, digestive disorders, problems with the gastrointestinal tract and joint and skin problems. Weight gain and depressive moods can occur as the disease progresses.
When we talk about the body’s acid-alkaline balance, classifying a food as acidic or basic depends on three factors. Based on these, the so-called PRAL (PotentialRenalAcidLoad) value calculated. This value determines to what extent the food burdens the kidneys with acid. The acid-base calculator, which divides food into acidic, basic and neutral categories, is also helpful.
Food for an alkaline diet can be found among fruit and vegetables, herbs and nuts. But seeds and sprouts are also ideal for alkaline food.
In order to be healthy, a balance of acids and bases is necessary in our organism. A balance of fiber, nutrients and minerals ensure a smoothly functioning organism. For an optimal metabolism, the body needs sufficient vital substances and minerals.
Alkaline foods:
- Fresh vegetables & fruit
- Dried fruits – but only without sulphur
- Sprouts and herbs
- Smoothies (made from fresh fruit)
- Almonds, coconut, chestnuts
- Herbal tea
GLUTEN-FREE DIET ("LIVIT")
Gluten intolerance is basically the much more harmless variant of celiac disease. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease — meaning the immune system registers gluten as foreign and starts fighting it like a virus. The only treatment for celiac disease is a lifelong gluten-free diet!
Gluten can cause various diseases. However, the media keep reporting that a gluten-free diet is not healthy or even pointless. As is so often the case, the opposite is true: gluten-free nutrition is very healthy, but only if you implement it correctly.
Gluten, also known as gluten protein, is found in the following grains:
Wheat, spelled, rye, commercially available oats, barley, unripe spelt, etc. These grains and all foods that are made from them or contain only small amounts of these grains are not suitable for people with celiac disease.
Those who suffer from grain intolerance should completely avoid foods containing gluten. Furthermore, the disease prohibits conventional bread, pasta and many ready meals, as well as sauces, puddings and soups that have been thickened with wheat, rye, barley or other flours containing gluten. Consuming gluten-free foods is the only medically accepted way of treating celiac disease, dermatitis, and wheat allergies.
These foods are recommended:
- Cereals
- Corn
- Soy
- Tapioca
- Buckwheat
- Millet
- Amaranth (Foxtail)
- Quinoa
- Lupine
Bread & side dishes
- Rice
- Wild rice
- Gluten free pasta
- Corn tortillas
- Bread made from gluten-free flours
- Potatoes
- Sweet potatoes
Vegetables & Salads
- Fresh vegetables
- Frozen vegetables
- Potatoes
- Yam
KetogenIC DIET ("LIVIT")
The ketogenic diet is a special form of a carbohydrate-reduced (low carb) diet. This form of nutrition is defined by the fact that special molecules are created in the body: the ketone bodies. Ketone bodies are special molecules. They are formed in the liver from fatty acids and serve as an energy source. The brain, muscles, and other tissues can break down ketone bodies and use them for energy.
The 3 ketone bodies are: Beta I Hydroxybutyrate I Acetoacetate I Acetone
The ketone body acetone is exhaled in the breath. The other two ketone bodies serve as a source of energy and can be converted into each other. Ketosis is the metabolic state in which there is an increased amount of ketone bodies in the blood.
Decisive criteria for a ketogenic diet:
Very low-carbohydrate diet, minimal insulin release, greatly increased fat burning, liver produces ketone bodies from fatty acids. By doing without many carbohydrates, the metabolism is changed. The body learns to use fat and ketones for energy instead of carbohydrates and sugar.
Insulin levels are very low, which is why fat cells release fatty acids very readily. These fatty acids can then be burned directly by the muscles or converted to ketone bodies in the liver.
Benefits of the ketogenic diet:
- Low blood sugar fluctuations
- Constantly low insulin levels
- High fat burning
- Improved fat metabolism
- Improved endurance performance
- Ketone bodies as an energy source for the brain
- Less cravings
- Increased feeling of satiety
- Less fluctuations in concentration
These are just a few of the benefits. Through various mechanisms, it supports a decrease but also an increased well-being. The ketogenic diet can reduce inflammation, thereby improving puffiness and blemishes. Ketone bodies can have a neuroprotective effect in the brain – i.e. protect nerve cells – and thus have a positive influence on the course of individual diseases.
PLANT-BASED NUTRITION
With a plant-based diet, no animal or animal-derived products are consumed. In addition to meat and fish, this also includes dairy products, eggs, honey and gelatine. Vegans also avoid certain cosmetic products and clothing such as leather or animal wool. Nature-based clothing such as cotton, artificial leather and cosmetic products that are 100% vegan are allowed. Many dishes from other food cultures such as Indian, Mediterranean or Asian are completely vegan. So it’s worth daring to think outside the box and always be curious about new eating habits, foods and food cultures.
Plant-based nutrition often goes hand in hand with a more conscious and healthier lifestyle. Many vegans report a positive body feeling thanks to weight loss, beautiful skin and dealing with their own holistic health. Of course, this only applies to a varied and balanced diet. The variety of nutrients can raise the energy level and thus contribute to an improvement in performance, concentration and thus general well-being.
Meeting your nutritional needs from plant-based foods is easy!
But which foods actually provide …
… proteins? Beans, lentils, peas, tofu and soy milk, whole grains, green vegetables, hemp seeds, nuts and nut butters, quinoa
… iron? Lentils, tofu, lima beans, quinoa, brown rice, oatmeal, nuts, seeds
… calcium? Kale, broccoli, beans, lentils, chickpeas, sesame, tahini, almonds, whole grains
… zinc? Tofu, tempeh, kidney beans, peanuts, tree nuts, seeds (especially pumpkin seeds), whole grains, leafy greens
… Vitamin D? The best source is clearly the sun, with the help of which the body can produce the vitamin itself. 15 minutes is enough to cover the need. Other plant sources include mushrooms, avocados, and sweet potatoes.
… vitamin B2? Nuts, legumes, mushrooms, pumpkin seeds, soy products, lentils, broccoli, avocado,
… iodine? Algae, mushrooms, broccoli, peanuts, spinach, pumpkin seeds
Plant-based foods usually do not contain vitamin B12. Certain tuber and root vegetables can sometimes contain traces of the vitamin if they live in symbiosis with so-called nodule bacteria that produce vitamin B12. Sauerkraut can also contain vitamin B12 as a result of the bacterial fermentation processes during production. And certain seaweed and shiitake mushrooms are also sometimes mentioned as plant-based sources of vitamin B12.
People choose to be vegan for a variety of reasons. Here are the most common perspectives that question animal-based diets.
Animal husbandry
People often choose a plant-based diet for ethical reasons. In addition to the killing of animals, husbandry plays an important role. For milk, cows usually have to stand in narrow stalls, chickens live tightly packed in the smallest of spaces. In addition, male chicks are sorted out and shredded immediately after birth. Dairy cows are slaughtered as soon as their milk yield decreases. This is immoral and, for many, no longer justifiable for ethical reasons.
Health
In addition to ethical reasons, health aspects also play a role on the way to a vegan diet. Many diseases such as high cholesterol, cardiovascular diseases and high blood pressure are attributed to excessive meat consumption. Saturated fatty acids, which are mainly found in meat products, increase the cholesterol level and, unlike unsaturated fatty acids, do not provide the body with any important nutrients. Equally alarming is the high use of antibiotics, which promotes the spread of multi-resistant germs.
Environment
Climate change, waste of resources and species extinction are often associated with high meat production. Air, soil and water are just as polluted as energy is used, because a large part of all global greenhouse gas emissions come from the keeping and processing of animals. However, greenhouse gases are not only produced when livestock are fed and kept. The storage of liquid manure, the production of animal feed, the deforestation for more grazing land or the cultivation of forage plants as well as the high water consumption also reinforce the poor ecological balance of meat production.
Ayurveda
Ayurvedic nutrition differentiates between mental, emotional and physical effects. The menu is tailored to individual needs for tissue renewal, healing, happiness, or personal development. The basis of Ayurvedic nutrition lies in the classification of the different body types, the doshas. Once you have determined your body type, all you have to do is follow the dietary rules specified for this type. Not only the physical, but also the mental health should improve. Because the basic idea of Ayurveda is that body and mind are inextricably linked. Especially today, many are enthusiastic about this method because it offers a relatively easy way to improve your own health. In Ayurvedic nutrition, the focus is particularly on healthy digestion (digestive fire) and mindful eating.
The three different body types (Doshas) Vatta, Pita and Kapha have their own rules in Ayurvedic nutrition according to which the food should be prepared. In general, heavy meals should no longer be eaten in the evening. After 8 p.m. you should avoid eating altogether. The largest meal of the day should be at lunchtime. This is when the digestive fire is most active.
- Prepare food consciously and with devotion
- Adapt dishes to body types (doshas)
- Take your time eating
- All six tastes (rasas) should be present in the food
- Incorporate spices into every meal
- Eat only when hungry
- Avoid difficult to digest food
- Avoid heavy and extensive meals in the evening
- Do not drink cold drinks with meals
- Prefer vegetarian food
- Alcohol, coffee, fizzy drinks and chocolate should be avoided
Tip for healthy digestion: Ayurveda recommends sprinkling lemon juice and salt on a small piece of ginger and eating it before eating. This is supposed to stimulate the digestive fire.
RAW FOOD
Raw vegan food is healthy food intake through sunlight accumulators.
Despite all the differences, the various forms of raw food nutrition have one thing in common: they avoid heated and processed foods. Finished products that contain preservatives or colorings are not part of this diet. The raw food diet is predominantly vegetarian or vegan. A special feature is the original diet with a focus on wild plants such as nettles and moss. It also consists of fruits, berries and leaves. According to the teachings of Franz Konz, we assume that nature provides sufficient nutrition for every living being and that man has forgotten how to use this food for himself due to the abundance.
With the sun diet according to Herlmut Wandmaker, the diet consists primarily of fruit. There are also vegetables and a few nuts. In addition to some nutrition guidelines, the sun diet also includes other recommendations. For example, you should spend a lot of time in the fresh air and in the sun and get enough exercise.
Plant-based foods are bursting with vital ingredients. The problem with conventional processing: Many nutrients are sensitive to light and heat and are lost during the cooking process. With raw food, these processes are eliminated. In addition, „raw foodists“ recommend fresh food from organic sources, which is also positive. Raw food is considered healthy due to its high proportion of vitamins, minerals, fiber and secondary plant substances such as carotenoids and flavonoids. These are considered important antioxidants.
Antioxidants in fruit and vegetables have a health-promoting effect and protect the body from so-called „free radicals“. The body forms these during various metabolic processes. And they arise as a result of harmful external influences. In addition, all vitamins, enzymes and minerals in the food are fully preserved with raw food. The water-soluble vitamin C, for example, is not stable and is destroyed by heating. In contrast to heated food, raw food means that the body has all the vitamins, enzymes and minerals it can use. However, the fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D and K require healthy oil so that they can be absorbed by the body.
